A concert for all ages is coming in the New Year as the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Orchestra visits Cyprus once again. The concerts are organised by the Russian Embassy and the Russian House in Cyprus with the support of the Creative Universe Charitable Foundation of Vyacheslav Zarenkov. January 6’s concert at Rialto Theatre will be a real feast for adults and children.
In two performances, the Nizhny Novgorod District Orchestra will present a festive programme. One will be a special concert for children at 5pm and an evening concert for adults at 7.30pm.
The Nizhny Novgorod Provincial Orchestra is today considered as one of the best musical groups in Russia. The repertoire of the orchestra is wide and diverse with arrangements of traditional folk melodies, works of famous Russian composers and masterpieces of world pop and classics. The orchestra has an extremely wide geography of performance and has repeatedly become the winner of Russian and international competitions.
Plenty more musical and theatrical productions will take place at the theatre come January including a festive concert with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra and guests on January 21 and a National Theatre Live performance of Frankenstein on January 11.
