St. Paul's Parish Sunday Lunch

Sunday lunches have started again at the Latin Parish hall on a monthly basis. As the pictures below show, they are very popular with the parishioners who really make a day of it. parish_lunch_november_02.jpgparish_lunch_november_15.jpgparish_lunch_november_08.jpgparish_lunch_november_30.jpgparish_lunch_november_29.jpgparish_lunch_november_13.jpgparish_lunch_november_19.jpgparish_lunch_november_32.jpg

Generous Donation

An Act Of Great Generosity

Following a presentation yesterday at the presbytery followed by a visit to the Hospice site we have been given a donation of €100,000 (one hundred thousand). The benefactors, who wish to remain anonymous were very impressed by what we have achieved to date, and were very interested to hear of our plans for the future. Whilst every donation is very important, be it €1 or €100,000, we would ask that you all remember our anonymous benefactors in your prayers.

This donation gives us a major boost, we will almost certainly be in a position to complete the major works required to open the Hospice i.e. lift, kitchen etc. If you visit the site you will see that all the terrace areas have been screeded ready to accept outside tiling, balustrades and patio and other doors, work on an extra internal staircase has started, we are rapidly progressing towards our goal of opening the Hospice next year.

400 Countdown Campaign

St. Paul’s Parish has launched the 400 Countdown Campaign aimed at completing the St. Michael’s Hospice at Mesa Chorio, Paphos. The congregation and their friends and of course many others who have passed by have raised an incredible 1.4 million to make the dream of the hospice a reality. Over the years there has been a slow steady progress in gaining the planning permissions and the building of the hospice. Now finally the end is in sight!

The 400 Campaign is aimed at raising 400,000 required to complete the final stages of fitting out, equipping and the opening of the Hospice in 2012.

The Campaign was Launched on Wednesday 2 March 2011 with a presentation held at the Alexander the Great Hotel for invited Dignitaries, Business’s and Parishioners and was sponsored by Fitzgerald Estates.

We are pleased to announce that the launch day raised 4,600 Euros towards the campaign. A great start indeed.
