Kathikas
Kathikas’ inception came about by being a resting place for merchants trading between Paphos (22km) and Polis (14km). The village has a long history as ancient tombs and Roman ruins that date back from 3rd Century BC.
Kathikas is known for its rolling hills of vineyards, wine making and stone houses and the local council have been far-sighted enough to recognise its ancient heritage as they have provided grants for the renovating and restoration of stone houses with funds from the Laona Project and Government Grant scheme.
